Arsenal in position to win their first league title in a decade thanks in large part to the superb coaching job Arsene Wenger has pulled off this season – in spite of a roster that has been decimated by injuries. As a result, the club is going to try and lock in their manager before his contract expires in 2017.

According to The Sun, in addition to being on the verge of a contract extension through 2019, Wenger is committing his long-term future to Arsenal by completely revamping the scouting and front office structure.

Wenger has recently promoted Steve Rowley to head of scouting after 20 years with Arsenal. He has also named Steve Morrow as the head of the youth scouting network. The Gunners are also believed to be pursuing Leicester City scout Steve Walsh.

Wenger has led Arsenal to three Premier League titles, most recently in the 2003-04 season, as well as six FA Cup titles and six FA Community Shield wins.
