Chelsea are pondering a January move for Porto’s impressive attacking midfielder Yacine Brahimi, according to reports from TuttoMercatoWeb.

The Blues have kicked off their Premier League title defence in underwhelming fashion, with a last gasp draw at Newcastle over the weekend having left them just four points off of the relegation zone with seven games gone and a whopping eight away from leaders Manchester United.

As a result Chelsea are thought to be looking towards the January window already, with reports claiming that Brahimi is a target.

The Algeria international has shone in Portuguese football with Porto since joining the club from Granada in Spain in 2014.

The Estadio do Dragao outfit are known for their eagerness to drive a hard bargain when it comes to selling players, and a £44.1m release clause in the North African ace’s contract could be problematic for the Londoners.
