Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is set to bring club captain John Terry back into the Blues’ starting XI for the clash with Southampton this weekend, according to The Daily Mail.
The former England international has had a poor start to the new season, being sent off against West Brom and substituted at half-time against Manchester City.
The reigning champions have looked shambolic at the back with Terry in the team and with others deputising and were beaten 2-1 by Mourinho’s former employers Porto in the Champions League in midweek.
Despite Kurt Zouma and Gary Cahill keeping a clean sheet in the team’s last Premier League game, a 2-0 win over Arsenal, the Portuguese trainer is set to call on Terry for the clash against Ronald Koeman’s men.
The Blues are in desperate need for points against Southampton as pressure on the West London club and their manager builds.
