Tottenham Hotspur’s striker hunt has seemingly broadened to include Toulouse’s Wissam Ben Yedder.
Spurs are in the market for support for Harry Kane and have been linked with moves for West Bromwich Albion forward Saido Berahino and Barcelona youngster Sandro Ramirez by Sky Sports.
And now France Football, cited in The Independent, claim that the Londoners have had a £6.1m bid rejected for Ben Yedder, who is expected to leave Toulouse in the summer as his contract winds down.
The speedy 25-year-old is yet to be capped by the French senior side, but has scored 11 goals in 21 appearances for Toulouse this term, and 61 in 155 since joining the Ligue 1 club in 2010.
Kane is the only recognised striker currently available to manager Mauricio Pochettino. He has started all 22 of their Premier League games and scored 12 goals to fire Spurs to fourth in the table.
Spurs look well set to launch a title bid and also remain in the Europa League and FA Cup. Without a new striker, Kane’s workload could leave to fatigue or an injury which could ruin Tottenham’s season.
