Sam Allardyce feels his Sunderland side “took full advantage” to beat Newcastle 3-0, after the Magpies’ Fabricio Coloccini was controversially sent off in the Tyne-Wear derby.

Adam Johnson scored from the resulting penalty just before half-time, before goals from Billy Jones and Steven Fletcher moved Sunderland off the bottom of the Premier League.

Sunderland have won the last six Tyne-Wear Premier League derbies, their best ever run against Newcastle United.
